This one looks pretty crazy...especially for you one sample contest junkies! :D

Yeah, it's pretty good alright..plus they offer a free version to students who can supply proof of the same..or at least they did, if I'm not mistaken.
(EDIT) I just checked out their page and it seems the free offer to students is no longer available..which is a real shame. Still, it's a good piece of kit to have if you want to really get into a sound. Having said that, if the price tag is a bit too much for you, then take a look at fellow AO member "widdershins" program "The Mangle" ( http://www.ambientonline.org/forum/s...nth-The-Mangle ). I know the two are totally different, but it's worth mentioning Mangle again anyway. :DLast edited by Ambient Mechanics; 07-29-2014, 12:22 PM. -
might as well reply to this as start another thread - I am thinking of getting this - have given the demo a whirl and it is quite unique as well as very deep as well as really difficult to get a handle on. But I love Fundamental from the same dev - best thing I have bought for ages - and that was tricky to get my head around. Cosmosf looks a whole order harder again.
Anyway - what are people's experiences with this and other items from SonicLab?Comment

I'm like you, Guest in that I have Fundamental, and really like its sonic capabilities.
There's an official video for Cosmosƒ which I have yet to watch.
Looking at the screenshots it does look awfully complicated. Which may be an indication of its power... We would need to get our hands on it to tell if that was indeed the case.
The filter tools from sonicLAB look interesting...
At this time I'm not going to get any of the demo's because, well, one thing leads to another and before we know it we'll be at the Soup Kitchen!
cheers

Must say tho I have got a lot better at resisting impulse buys because they are "going cheap". I am demo-ing more and also seeing if I can reproduce the effect with what I have. Cosmosf FX seems like nothing else, but the price will have to come down quite a bit on Black Friday and I will have to be feeling well to do to get it.
(I am sorely tempted tho)
I did try out the passbot filter plugin and felt that this gave me everything I needed already http://www.apulsoft.ch/apqualizr2/Last edited by Guest; 07-24-2020, 07:11 AM.Comment
