D16 Frontier Limiter

Next months Computer Music freebie is a new limiter from D16, Frontier. However, it appears it's available for free from their site already for 'past or future customers'...

I still have my D16 account though no longer any of their products (yes aoVI, I sold Sigmund, I sold a delay.......) but Frontier is in there to download... Will try it later though not the best person to test it, I struggle to really hear 'character' in things like limiters, compressors etc.

I found myself only ever flicking through Sigmunds presets and tweaking a little, much like I did with RP-Delay. So, I'm working under the philosophy that if something's not really doing it for me then it's a distraction and should go (assuming it has worth to someone else).

I must admit I did have to buy RP-Delay again after I found it irreplaceable in a project I forgot about.

Then sold it again once the track was rendered.

Back on topic:

Yeah, if you can I'd download a copy of Frontier/buy CM. It's not as subtle as toneboosters barricade I normally use but it has a nice sound if you push it hard, smooshes things up nicely. Actually, a pretty good distortion if you really push it (soft clip option etc).
