New, free XronoMorph: Loop generator

I can't believe this is free (will take donations), seems really neat. I am currently downloading it and if it seems like something I'll get use out of (despite my lack of rhythmic creations) I will donate.

Seems like something that would overcome my lack of rhythmic skills, yet still be powerful for someone who really understood theory.

I'd be interested to see what those of you who are more gifted think.

I tried it just to see it working...and I'm totally going to marry this one to the Vermona DRM1, and sample the hell out of their children!

Heard back from the dev and it's 64 bit only though there may be a 32 bit version soon.

Time to upgrade...

Isochronous... Never heard of the word, and I'm still not sure that I really understand what it means.

This must be a great tool for getting your prog on :D

I think it just means 'things happening regularly', even period of time between events etc.

Like isobars link areas of equal pressure.

A few days ago version 1.1.0 was released with these features included in the update:

• Save XronoMorph loops as MIDI loops (OS X and Windows 32 bit versions) or audio loops (all versions)—use these loops in any DAW/sequencer.
• MIDI sync—XronoMorph will sync to your DAW's MIDI clock and SPP (song position pointer). The number of DAW beats (quarter notes) resulting in a full XronoMorph rotation can be freely chosen.

I haven't tried the update yet, but the ability to save midi loops makes it a lot more interesting, I think.
