Photoshop users ?

I don't know If i have really mentioned it before, but I have been using Adobe photoshop at a novice level for a while now. I am no Art student but i do enjoy using it for designing crazy graphics of my own. It's always a nice foray away from music design when I get tired of messing about with sounds. Sometimes it can inspire me to make music after I do some cool graphics.

If you work with photoshop please post your graphic designs! I'll share a few of mine.

I find Photoshop a bit pricey, particularly when you compare it to Paint.Net which is FREE and very capable. Like yourself, I'm only a dabbler but it's nice to experiment with something which won't disturb the neighbours :biggrin:. Here's something I came up with for the rear cover of my current EP, which, being download-only, doesn't actually need a rear cover...

I think a lot of people did...

I was a hardcore PaintShopPro user until I realised how bad it was for vector graphic stuff, now seem to bounce between that, Serif DrawPlus for vector-ey stuff, paint.net and PS CS2 (cough). Tried to like GIMP but too crude in places (dialogues etc), same with Inkscape.

I struggle with GIMP - the interface seems so complicated. I quite like Inkscape for vector stuff but unless I move into web design (which ain't gonna happen) I probably won't need it. Has anyone here tried Blender (http://www.blender.org/) for 3D stuff? Now that is mindblowing....

Pixelmator is a full featured image editor for Macs. Only $15 and works very well for the limited design stuff I do.

I am a slave to the Adobe Suite, and I am basically on Photoshop and Illustrator 8+ hours a day at work. What's funny is that the images I make for my SC uploads are often incredibly garish, basically because I get to do all the things I can't do for projects at work! It is actually quite relieving to do a quick, dirty, bold design, as an antidote to releasing pixel-perfect iOS graphic assets during the day.

For anyone that may be interested, I'm selling my Wacom Intuos3 6x11 graphics tablet in the KVR Marketplace.

In the interest of this thread, I use Photoshop CC (I have the Creative Cloud) and Painter 11 (Waiting for a subscription service to upgrade to X3).
