New trends in ambient music (article from a swiss newspaper, only in german...)
Thanks. Not a native German speaker, but can manage that. The English Google translation has a few amusing moments and shows that computer-based translation is getting there but still has a way to go :-)
One day, I let google translate a cooking recipe from turkish to german- at some stage of the process, the meal had to "die". It took a while, until I realized, that it has to rest (but not in peace) but only for a while, until cooking continued...
I would certainly be very disappointed to wake up one day to find the translation engines working faultlessly. There is something magical and exciting about global communication using the written word as a medium. The sense of anticipation as you wonder whether your innocent observation has single-handedly managed to alienate an entire culture cannot be underestimated.
