New track on bandcamp- Distant Voices

This is kind of like an ep in a single track, just short of 17 minutes in length. I made use of some previously recorded vocal samples in the Korg and tweaked the settings- I was inspired by Sky High Diamonds work with the Korg Volka, so I sat down and recorded this.

This is experimental with Korg vocal samples, iM1 and Sunrizer Synth iOS apps.

As always, any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated.

I love the space in this, there's a mysterious hum/chant reminiscent of human voices embedded within the drone pitches, which can sound eerie but when absent that also adds a feel of isolation. The percussive drums do the same, very present in a comforting way so when they drop out at 3.26 there's a floating vastness until they begin to return in their clusters at 4.38, some of the the percussion sounds drifting into drone is something I am working with on the Volca Sample, it can totally drone out the smallest of sounds then carry a track before drifting aimlessly away into nothingness, but painfully and s l o w l y.

Sometimes the very percussive drums sound very realistic (back to your track), very physically present and then there are those times that they become something more, something really harmonious and deeply part of the sonic and processed textures such as 8.30 -9.50. I loved this slow long dark journey. Around 11.00 I'm lifted by a change, a switch to something familiar-almost-because the back ground sounds remind me of an ever present moving shadow and as it expands there is a reminiscence from the past, following, re embedding itself.

This is wonderful work, perfect for listening to with my morning coffee and prompting me to get back in the music space and fiddle more poetically with the Volcas right now. Thank you for posting and sharing.
