Hello, I am Johnny Mandrake...

...but my real name is Jacek ;) I am 30, I come from Poland and I am interested in different kind of electronic music, but mostly ambient and chillout.

My fun started my journey with ambient music by accidentally discoverd Carbon Based Lifeforms. Since that I choose different ways: more psychedelic chillout one, rythmicc, oriental full of melodies, slow trance; and the fully abstract soundscapes, beatless auras, binaural beat drones, alien planet flora and fauna sounds etc.

For both ways I already did some steps. For the first I prepared 128 loop set that I performed at the Goadupa Festival in Poland this year. Here is the full recording and yt video that show how it's done:

For the more ambient side I am trying to explore more oneiric drony ambients rich of different sounds. Sometimes I think they are a bit too rich of this sounds, but what do you think? I am combining software synths, loop playing (both by Maschine), I got Mininova synthesizer and custom made binaural beat generator. All of them can be heard at the recordings. In the future I am planning to buy another synthesizers to make more and more live improvisation:

Yes, this is why I came here, to find lots of good advices and material to improve my composing and live playing skills. My main problem now is nice arranging, the more minimalistic the music is, the more difficult it is.

Had you come a bit earlier you could have submitted something for the current AO compilation. Not to worry though, At least two a year are produced so it's not that long to go till the next one.
