  • NEW PODCAST!! Outlets of the Sky The Synphaera Records Podcast

Guess what? The Podcast is back! Well, sort of. I've rebranded it to a more Synphaera-Centric podcast and will be drawing in many more listeners. I've also renamed this subforum to "Ambient Podcasts" to open it up to all types of ambient and electronic music related podcasts. Feel free to share your favorites!

I hope you like it. This show carries the same original essence of the Ambient Online Podcast but the format feels fresh again. I took enough time off from the show, figured out what I really want to do and am now moving it in to the future. Cheers and enjoy!

On episode 01 of Outlets of the Sky we dive deep with ambient musician, sound designer, and fine artist Peter Brefini aka Echo Season! Peter is making his mark not only on the ambient music scene, but has developed a quick following showcasing his sound design skills on various software and hardware synthesizers. His debut album on Synphaera Records "Periphery" in 2018 set a new high bar for production quality in the genre and he's hard at work on his sophomore release for the label.

S1gnsOfL1fe - Firstly, I felt really compelled to comment about the podcast but I'm unable to reply to the original thread in the podcasts section so I hope it's okay that I've posted here instead? Chris, just wanted to thank you for producing the podcast. Listened yesterday and it was very entertaining.

Echo Season thank you for being so candid and open. It was cool to hear where your early influences came from (you've got me wanting to listen to ISDN again!) but I was particularly interested to hear how you manage your time to produce and develop your musical craft whilst also needing to meet other time consuming commitments. It was inspiring to hear, as THE biggest thing I struggle with by far is finding regular, quality time to be creative in the studio. I also listened to Periphery today (in the car to/from work, no less) and I have to say it sounds superb and is a great source of inspiration. I look forward to hearing your next release.

Thank you so much for the positive feedback! I am so glad that folks are resonating with the podcast and it's great to be back in the saddle.

More on the way! I'll fix the posting in that thread too and move this reply. ;)

Realm I'm really happy to hear that it resonated with you. I think time management is half the battle really- especially with all of the obligations that we have these days. Having the energy is important too- when you're running on fumes it can be a hindrance, so I find prioritizing things and their timing to be helpful, in order that you save some of your energy towards your craft. Thank you for your kind words as well, I'm very glad you're enjoying it!
