Here comes a fresh demo for Ambient Strings, the main patch in the demo being Psaltery Rain Split:
Description (only some of the assigned Macros are mentioned):
A long soundscape derived from a falling, timestretched psaltery glissando (in major) split up into three segments split across the keyboard with overlapping keyzones (between G#2-C3 and G#3-C4), in the lowest region another resynthesized psaltery drone is layerd with the other sound. In a second layer an analog stack synth with temposynced falling microtonal glissandi processed by a tuned combfilter is playing, control the synth volume with Macro 3, the rain speed with M4. M1+2 add temposynced filter- and amplitude modulation, M7 switches the multiband compressor in the FX section on/off. The Modwheel adds temposynced square-shaped pich modulation to the soundscape layer, max +2 semitones with MW fully engaged.
It's lovely, MachFive has so many tools to create all those sounds in one single patch
then there is a snapshot from the classical guitar patch playing ( which now has a scripted interface) and another patch with regular psaltery glissandos, where you have 2 variations each of slow/fast gliss split across the keyboard (one octave each) and can switch between up/down gliss, and major/pentatonic. There is also a granular gliss patch which gives you speed control over the gliss speed and many other things.
