I think it's time for me to get a new computer case.
I've never been worried about sound from my PC because I've never had a mic before, but now that I do, I want something a little (LOT) quieter. Right now I have a Cooler Master HAF X full-tower, but with all of those huge fans it makes a ton of noise.
There's a thread on KVR that got me thinking about this, and I'm looking for suggestions on what to get.
There's this: Fractal Design Define R4
But what I'd really like is something like this: Fractal Design Define XL
I haven't had a mid-tower in years, and I really like the extra space in a full-tower, but the Fractal Design Define XL seems to be sold out nearly everywhere, and where it's not, it's hyper-expensive. Well, I found one place where it's not too bad, but it's still twice the cost of the Define R4.
Any other suggestions for quiet cases? At the moment, when I record with my mic, my computer is nearly as loud as my voice when I'm up close to my mic. It's unacceptable.
I'll probably get Mark a quiet case, too, as his computer is just behind me, so having two silent cases in here will do good. I just need to find a good card reader for Mark's computer as his has a built-in, and I'll need to replace it with something.
