  • Best Harmonizer?

I'm currently looking to add a Harmonizer to my effects chain.
Does anyone have a suggestion on which is best?
I was thinking about the "TC Electronic QUINTESSENCE HARMONY" however it has poor reviews on Amazon.

The problem I've found with harmonizers is that depending on the scale you use, 5ths or 7ths, 9ths, or whatever, you have to be mindful of the notes you hit, or you can get some very off-key results. To date, I've find no harmonizer element that can predict the notes you will hit and compensate for that. In this case, you must just use your best judgment and stay in scales where you know you will not hit notes that will bring up undesirable results.

I know its an old thread but the Eventide Pitchfactor (especially at the current used prices) is an excellent harmonizer option. another added benefit if you use analog monosynths is that it has a digital tuner so it can serve too excellent functions. not to mention it handles synths with no issues. just my two cents.

you should know George Johnson uses a Roland GR-55 guitar synthesizer with foot pedals almost exclusively.
