I remember that the only classic i loved was "Gymnopedies" by Eric Satie.
The oldest records i own in this genre are "Voices" by Roger Eno and "Plight and Premonition"/"Flux and Mutability" by David Sylvien and Holger Czukay.Comment

The first "ambient" piece I got was Zeit by Tangerine Dream. I had already bought Rubycon and was working backwards. That was in the 70s (if I remember correctly Cyclone had just been released). Zeit remains my favourite TD album. I didn't get the Brian Eno stuff until the 80s.Comment

Alright, I have kept this secret long enough.
I am directly responsible for discovering Ambient.
In the early 70's I was driving a taxi in London. One day, I see this weird-looking gent crossing the road and before I knew it, I had run into him.
