and here is one pic gutter2.jpg
I've just set up a facebook page for them as well - only a few there now but I'll add more and hopefully other people will want to add some as well until it is the best site on the net for photos of gutters https://www.facebook.com/photosofgutters
thanks for the nice comments on my gutter photos - I just bought a Nokia 520 after having an ancient Google phone for the last few years and I'm amazed at what a cheap phone camera can do! (plus a bit of tweaking in Photoshop, mainly levels)

I used to be a semi-serious photographer (you know, bags of lenses, all-night darkroom sessions etc), now I just keep a little Lumix handy. Occasionally I get something nice, like this visitor the other day, who was good enough to stand still for a few seconds...

lucky day! always great to see a bluetongue in the yard. We have one or two that live under the cement slab of the shed that we get to see a few times a year. The best camera (so I've seen real photographers say) is the one you have and the one you'll use. I would not be doing any photography much without my new phone camera
today's photo - normally I would never do something as sentimental as this but, incredibly, this scene was just there for me to come across when I went for a walk about 6am this morning. So I thought, this is what is, who am I to reject that. More from the gutters of Brisbane gutter21.jpg
Another bluetongue moment - this one used to live in the laundry at our last house in Sydney. Came out for a shower and a drink during heavy rain: P1030522.jpg
