I think I found kind of path with many sounds and sound structures on it. This is quite specific path and I will explore it further.

I haven't found my sound either. Not yet anyway. I think it maybe like trying to make the perfect composition: you may never make it, but you'll have a lot of fun trying
I'm not even sure what specific genre I can make better music, still looking for that also.
The fact that I like to make music in different genres doesn't help either. What can I say? I love music so much I want to make it in ALL the styles I possibly can :D (talk about being delusional)

I'm kind of impressed by guys like S1gns and Metadronos who always seem to have an identifiable, personal "voice" in their pieces. I feel like I'm nowhere near that sort of thing ... I think I get distracted too easily or something, and keep wanting to try different things.

Keep working with your experiments and a direction will present itself. Afterall, speaking for myself, that's how I arrived at my current style. Just trying a bunch of different things until I finally heard the music that was in my head.

Finally, I think I'm getting there. The devilish twist is that the next track being planned is currently completely different in form and certainly won't sound anything like my current WIPs. Rock style drum and bass (not DnB), lots of riffing with harmonics.

Yes, I think I found my sound area, but surely I have more to discover there. Stay tuned ;)SoundCloud // FreeSound // Twitter

i have never thought about finding my own sound - I really just have an idea and try and realise that - both as an initial idea and then as an evolving idea through the process of creating the piece. So I always have an idea of a 'sound' but I've never thought of it as trying to get 'my sound'

I've been playing piano since I was five... synths since 13, trumpet, bass, live bands, etc... I have a few things that do more or less define my sound. Rhythms I lean towards, phrasings, the types of sounds I blend together, chord progressions that just sound "right" to me, certain gear that I lean on more than others because I've had them 25 years... BUT - like has been mentioned before... I'm always striving to add, to blend, to bring in new inspiration.
I recognize my sound because it's me - I haven't released enough for others to recognize it though. :-)owner / artist
