After many edits, the show list and Task Scheduler setup instructions are up to date and correct.
If you noticed the command lines didn't work or you copy and pasted any, I found and corrected a space between two letters that was in error.

Thanks Barry, I will work through those. Reviewing your notes, it looks like you always fire up RadioSure to record, using the appropriate parameters, and rely on Windows scheduler to handle the date/time triggering. Makes sense. I will give it a whirl. Interestingly, when I click on your screen caps, they don't display?

I spent time with the Robert Rich Stars End show you shared. After listening a few full-goes (during different workdays), I set about to make some edits to the files, and I can share them back if you're interested. I respect that some of my edits might be "against the grain" of your appreciation of hearing the curators live, but maybe you'll get some mileage from them. Here's what I did:

      1. Correct file breaks
      2. Trim "bluesy opening" of adjacent show
      3. Gently edit the introductory comments for brevity and clarity; isolate them into their own file
      4. Remove station IDs, but keep 2 versions for potential use
      5. Fade out/in all tracks boundaries
      6. Process the "secondary snippet" in the RAR for completeness; create an m3u

Regarding #3, they started out gently "faltering" and "unsteady," with Chuck's voice being lost, and Robert taking the helm. After the edits, they sound more sure of themselves and I think it's befitting the work they put in. There's some minor data loss in a few sentences, but that's a minor quibble.

I like that the opening comments and the station IDs can be taken out of the m3u entirely, and having studied the show, I can add other ambient tracks, field recordings, etc. to the playlist, to to offer variety.

Hopefully the image attached comes through for you.

      Cheers!

      Felix

Your welcome Felix. I hope others will find use for it also. What are 'screen caps', I don't know what you mean?

Sure, I'd like to have the m3u with the mp3 files.Thanks. But not the wav files.
Have you ever tried an mp3 editor? No need to convert.

Happy to hear you found the list.
Maybe you know of ambient radio in Europe I do not have in my list? Let me know of any, please.

I believe you did not understand the type of shows in my list.
All shows are primarily 'over-air' broadcasts with a show host/programmer.
                - Love to get shows from other countries -
You must be able to receive with a standard FM radio.

I understood your list, but you asked of "ambient radio in Europe" ... you are so aware of all these shows that I thought you really wanted netradios in Europe : OK, I missunderstood your request
Sorry, I do not know anything about these shows, that's why I found your list so useful.

Sorry, "screencaptures"-- the pictures that you attached to your post. I was getting "Invalid file format" whenever I tried to click them, so I wasn't able to see them until today. Yay! They're helpful, and I know you took time to make 'em, so thanks!

Quite an extensive list. Just curious as to what version of Windows you are using to create the tasks.

No, it was just a curiosity because of the appearance of the interface- I'm currently on Windows 10, although I upgraded from Windows 7 when Microsoft offered the free upgrade. TBH, I don't see the great attraction to switching over to Win 10, but I had no choice since I upgraded my hardware to include 32 GB of ram, and even on Win 7 64-bit, there is the 16 GB limitation. I am regretting some of my upgrade choices in that the fans add too much noise and this is something you don't want in a studio situation, so I'll be forced to go to a liquid cooling option instead. Anyway, sorry for rambling. I will check out some of these stations you listed- there's one of them that has actually been on the air for quite a number of years as I was listening to it back in 1992. "Star's End", I believe it was.

'Grenzwellen' (removed. not ambient. sorry for the bad info.)
                              EDIT - caught this-

"Due to a technical breakdown today's show had to be canceled.
You can hear it in full length on Thursday, September 6 from 9pm !!" (3:00pm - 6:00pm EST)

I'll keep my ear to the track and see what happens with this show.

                              Thanks.

EDIT - Sorry, removed Joe Frank from list. Radio schedule was outdated.
Scroll down this page for some Joe Frank teaser shows..worth the trouble.

                                New addition to list!!!
Two Joe Frank 1 hr productions per show every week. (spoken word over progressive music loops)
                                If you haven't heard him before, you must hear him. I won't try to explain what he offers but here is a Spin Magazine review;
"Joe Frank is an invaluable warrior who stands in defense of our fears, our vanities and our forever-eroding sense of ourselves. He transforms the everyday banality of the human comedy into an inspired weirdness that feeds on pathos and irony, and feels a lot like revelation. Sartre would have called it nausea; Frank makes it art."
